It is designed by Williams who also created other great platforms like Blogger and Twitter. He wants to create a platform where users can publish a large document which was not possible on the twitter due to the limitations of 140 characters (now 280-character) maximum.

So he created medium to encourage users to publish longer content then the twitter due to the restrictions of characters.

Medium has been focusing on the quality of content, they want to users to spend more and more time on medium as opposed to maximizing the size of visitors.

They have a membership of $5 for every user who wants to read published articles of the medium. So it’s not free but you can get their premium membership for free for first month.

What website has the best questions and answers ever in the entire world?

Unfortunately, it seems some of the ‘regulars’ from Yahoo Answers has successfully invaded Quora. Fortunately, the community is able to mitigate many of them by correcting their atrocious spelling, grammar and at times, blatant trollish banter bordering on pure stupidity.

As straight forward as I can say this, Yahoo Answers is literally the ass end of the internet in terms of Q&A web tools.

Quora is good for what it’s supposed to do, but I prefer Reddit in the way it handles overall content. Reddit Moderation is very hands-off, unless content comes to a boiling point. Quora Moderation is from my point of view, flip-flopping in quality and I find that the best writers are commonly punished, because some asshat decided to team up with other asshats to make sure those people are banned or ‘humbled’.

Basically, if you can’t argue intellectually with the answer poster, you can punish them by collectively downvoting/reporting their answers.

I am aware Reddit isn’t a Q&A web tool, but as a threaded-view forum, it can still be used as one. Of course, while I prefer Reddit’s way of doing stuff, I still prefer to use Quora more. It’s simpler and straight to the point.

What is the best question and answer site?

Originally Answered: What is the best question and answer site? What is the strong point of that site?

I found Quora to be best one among others. There are two main reason for that:
1. There are experts in wide variety of expertise.
2. Since Quora decided to use real name, people are more responsible for their questions & answers.

On which website do you find easy answers for your questions? Why is that site better than others?

I find easy answers for my questions on a variety of websites, but some of my favorites include :

  • Stack Overflow
  • Quora
  • Reddit

These websites are better than others because they have large and active communities of users who are willing to help others. They also have a high quality of content, and the answers are usually well-written and informative.

However, in addition to these websites, Chat GPT & Google Bard AI are also helpful for me.

Is there a forum that I can ask a question and get an answer?

Er, you’re already on one.

You just asked a question and received answers.

Quora’s funny that way:)

Which are some successful question and answer forums on the internet?

I have not found any other than Quora. In my mind, the people who set up Quora did an amazing job. There were search engines before Google, but Google was far better. There were question/answer forums before Quora, but Quora has been the first one that has been worth my time.

You’ve inspired me to submit a question to Quora: why does Quora work so well, when other question/answer forums fail so miserably?

(Note: I have no financial interest in Quora; my only role is that of being a member who loves to read and write answers.)

What is the fastest way to get answers on Quora?

Ask questions that can be answered multiple ways. Ask questions that are open-ended rather than ones that can be answered with a sentence or two. Ask for information that a specific group of people might have. Next, add good topics.
